Dives from Key West
Rock Key
If you like to explore giant cracks when you dive, then Rock Key is a good place to do this. Giant twenty-foot crevices are a bit unusual to divers in the Florida Keys, but you'll find the here. Almost like spelunking, in that the cracks are sometimes just wide enough for a diver to slip into, and you don't want to go in if you're at all claustrophobic! There was once a wreck here, but it's now rare to find any evidence of the ship sailing from Spain that sunk here in the 1800's. It was apparently carrying tiles for the building trade, which carried the insignia of Barcelona, Spain.
This site is near Eastern Dry Rocks, off Key West.
